Coreen Silverman and Glen Sturtevant obtained a defense verdict on October 28, 2016, for an orthopedist and his practice in Richmond, Virginia, after a five-day jury trial.  The plaintiff claimed that during a primary total knee replacement surgery, the surgeon removed excessive amounts of tibial bone and completely removed posterior cruciate ligament, implanted a non-stabilizing prosthesis, and created an unstable knee, which dislocated several weeks after surgery and required her to undergo a total revision surgery.  The defendants denied the allegations and presented compelling evidence supporting a defense verdict.
