Rawls & McNelis, P.C. is now Rawls McNelis + Mitchell, P.C.  Our name change reflects the expansion of our firm and our renewed emphasis on serving clients in the Northern Virginia area.  Byron joined the firm in June, 2008 and focuses his practice on the defense of health care professionals.

Byron has practiced as a medical malpractice defense attorney since 1994. In that time, he has defended health care providers from a wide range of medical disciplines, including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, pulmonologists, internists, ob/gyns, pathologists, emergency physicians, family practitioners, cardiologists, general surgeons, radiologists, pediatricians, physical therapists and nurses, as well as hospitals and nursing homes.
