BIOGRAPHY
Carlyn (Cari) Mikalson has held the position of senior paralegal with Rawls, McNelis & Mitchell since the firm’s inception, and has worked with Brewster Rawls since 1991, and with Ed McNelis since 1999. Cari has focused her 20-year career on case management support, and works exclusively in the area of medical malpractice. During her tenure at Rawls, McNelis & Mitchell, Cari has helped hundreds of clients with each step of their malpractice case – from start to finish. Cari’s primary focus is case evaluation, which includes the review and analysis of extensive medical records and related research, as well as assessment of attributable damages. Cari assists in all stages of case management, from initial evaluation through the administrative claims process to trial, if necessary. She has worked on cases in numerous federal courts across the country, from California to Florida, and has years of experience with Virginia state and federal courts.
Cari resides in Bon Air with her husband and four children. Her current recreational endeavors include training for a half-marathon and refining her Iyengar yoga practice. Her volunteer efforts include leadership positions in a variety of private and public school settings.
