BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Rodriguez received his Medical degree from National University of Ireland, Galway in 1990. Upon completing a surgical internship at University College Hospital, he returned to the U.S. and completed a residency program in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Center South.  He has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1994.  Dr. Rodriguez is licensed to practice medicine in Arkansas, Florida, Virginia and the Republic of Ireland.  Prior to receiving his law degree from the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Dr. Rodriguez was a partner and board member of a primary care physician group in Hillsborough County, Florida.

In 2002, Dr. Rodriguez was admitted to the bar in the Commonwealth of Virginia and began his legal career.  Prior to joining Rawls, McNelis & Mitchell, PC, he was engaged in medical legal consulting concerning all aspects of healthcare in addition to providing direct patient care as a locum tenens physician.  Since joining the firm in January of 2005, his background has provided an invaluable resource for the firm, especially in his areas of practice.  His clinical experiences as a primary care physician have also provided him with firsthand knowledge pertaining to the practice of medicine that has allowed him to have additional insight into many of the matters in which he is involved as an attorney.  Dr. Rodriguez’s expertise makes him a frequent speaker to a wide variety of clients and audiences regarding these matters.
